HAWAII GRIDIRON FOOTBALL LEAGUE NEWS
The Hawaii Gridiron Football League (Oahu Island) is preparing for its second season of play. The league is comprised of the following teams all on the Island of Oahu: Kailua Storm, Honolulu Volcanos, Waikiki Stingrays, Ewa Beach Cane Spiders, Kapolei Kings (news), Pearl City Paniolas and South Side Soljahs (new). Defending Champions: Honolulu Volcanos.
League Founder/Director: Ashley Lee, former U. Hawaii and 1st round draft choice of the Denver Broncos. He is now working for the U. Hawaii Football Office. The Director is now Darrick Branch. League Website: gridironhawaii.com. League Email:
The league all stars played a exhibition game in December against a all-star team from Australia called the "Pacific Rim Gridiron Bowl". The Hawaiians won 38-0. Hawaii will now take their all-stars to Australia in June to play the Southern Cross Australians, their opponent in December.
I don't have the chance to watched the exhibition match but my friend told that it will really a great game.
